Are you using Osmolality measurements in your research, workflows, process, or production?

 

Submit your abstract for our first Osmolality Bioprocessing Trailblazer Award and be entered to win a trip to BPI East in Boston!

Advanced Instruments is holding a call for abstracts for our first ever Osmolality Bioprocessing Trailblazer Award with the opportunity for one lucky author to win a trip to present their osmolality data at BioProcessing International conference on September 18-21 in Boston, MA.

We invite you to submit an abstract focused on using osmolality in any application in bioprocessing, examples can include use in Cell and Gene Therapy or LNP (Lipid Nanoparticle) manufacturing workflows.

Share your ideas on how using osmolality can impact a process, improve an outcome, and/or show how it can be used in a process as a support metric.

The submissions can be on research that has been completed or is still under development*.

Three abstracts will be chosen, with the top entry winning this exciting award.

Deadline is July 3rd, 2023 (Midnight EST)

How to enter:

Fill out the simple questions in the form below to be sent the contest submission package by email, including a blank template for information needed. This email will be sent by our dedicated biotech osmometry team and will give you direct access to connect with them about any questions you may have along the way. You can hold onto this email until you are ready to submit. Submission can be made by replying to the email before the deadline. Be sure to check your spam if you don’t see a reply within 1 hour.

FAQs

When is the deadline to submit? Submissions can occur any time up to midnight EST on Monday July 3nd, 2023. Data in progress must be completed by this deadline.

Do I need to use products from Advanced Instruments to participate? NO! Use any tools! – Purchase or use of Advanced Instruments products are not required to enter and will not increase the likelihood of winning.

Who can enter? This offer is available to residents of the United States and Canada only who are over the age of 18. Each submission must have only one principal author who will be eligible for the prize; no team or group submissions are permitted. If you’re outside of the US, contact us to see if we are running a similar contest in your region.

What kind of data is acceptable? We are looking for uses within bioprocessing, but if you have something interesting outside of that category, please contact us to discuss eligibility. There cannot be any confidential or proprietary information contained in the author’s submission.

What does the trip include for the one grand prize winner? Conference fee, transportation for BioProcess International Conference & Exhibition in Boston, MA, USA, and nearby accommodations for 2 nights*

What will the other 2 winners receive? The other 2 winners will each receive a $250 AmEx gift card.

Additional rules:

By submitting an abstract for consideration, the author, on behalf of him/herself and his/her employer understands and agrees that:

*Advanced Instruments (“AI”) will reimburse the author of the winning submission with the following: Conference fee for attendance at the BioProcess International Conference & Exhibition in Boston, MA, USA, transportation to the conference location, up to 2 nights accommodation in or near Boston during the conference. All reimbursed expenses must be reasonable and in accordance with AI’s travel and expense policy and practices and are not to exceed the limit of $2000.00 (USD). Each submission must have only one principal author who will be eligible for the prize; no team or group submissions are permitted.

Advanced Instruments intends to select one prize winner, which it may select in its total discretion.  Provided, however, AI reserves the right, in its total discretion, to select one or more prize winners, or to not select any prize winner.

Advanced Instruments may use the submission contents for marketing purposes, including in derivative materials and in a format to be displayed at or in promotion of an industry conference.

The author of the winning submission consents to have their name included on AI marketing materials that include the submission or content from the submission.

Advanced Instruments may require the winning author’s employer to agree to a limited license for AI to use the abstract for marketing purposes.

Advanced Instruments may request that the winning author make a presentation on the abstract at an industry conference.

By submitting an abstract for consideration of the prize, the author disclaims any liability on the part of AI for anything related to this call for abstracts or award of a prize.
