RMA Policy & Procedure

To return an instrument for repair or replacement:
Notify our service department to:

  • Obtain an RMA (Returned Material Authorization) number, which is required to ensure that the instrument is properly received into the service department.
  • Receive proper instructions. Some instruments require heat transfer liquid to operate, which must be properly drained before shipment in order to prevent possible leakage and damage to the system. Please contact Advanced Instruments to ensure that the instrument has been properly drained and the head assembly has been positioned all the way down into the cooling well for shipment.
  • Ensure that you receive proper instruction on packaging the instrument for shipment back to Advanced Instruments, Inc. to reduce the possibility of damage that can occur during shipping.
  • Receive the complete address to return the instrument.

To return a part or consumable for replacement or credit:
Notify our service department to:

  • Receive an RMA (Returned Material Authorization) number, which is required to ensure that the items are properly received into the service department.
  • Receive the complete address to return the items.
