Autoplate® Spiral Plating System

Autoplate® Spiral Plating System

Advanced Instruments Autoplate Spiral Plating System for Accurate Bacterial Enumeration

The Advanced Instruments Autoplate Spiral Plating System is a microprocessor-controlled Spiral Plater used for bacterial enumeration, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and mutagenicity assays. The unique Autoplate technology eliminates most serial dilutions by continuously reducing the number of microbes on the spiral track. This leads to a 3/4 reduction of disposable materials and significant savings in time and labor. The Autoplate provides greater detection sensitivity and sample repeatability than conventional plating techniques.

Ten deposition modes make the Autoplate the most flexible Spiral Plater on the market. Spiral plating is ideal for any application where total microbial count is required.

• 20µl Exponential deposition for up to a 4 LOG dilution reduction.
• 35-second cycle time
• One-button operation for cleaning, filling and plating.
• Windows CE touch screen user interface.
• One-step stylus disinfection.
• 500 µl syringe volume.
• NO external vacuum source required.
• 90-100 mm and 150 mm dish options.
• Precision backlit syringe ensures accurate deposition.
• Unique stylus design accommodates samples from cups, test tubes, and microcentrifuge tubes without costly disposables.
• “Power Clean” and “Expel” cleaning options.
• In-house User Validation.
• Hot-Line™ Technical Service available 24/7.

How it works:
A dispensing stylus deposits a syringe-drawn sample onto a rotating agar plate. The stylus moves from the near-center of the plate outward while the plate rotates, and the syringe plunger drives downward, depositing less sample as the stylus moves outward.
